‘Operation Plan Edo’ Commences in Oghogobi Community on Today

The Operation Plan Edo (OPE) team will commence activities in Oghogobi Community, Benin City, on Thursday, according to Isoken Omo, Edo State Commissioner for Physical Planning, Urban and Regional Development.

The commissioner, who made the announcement after the Weekly State Executive Council (EXCO) meeting on Wednesday, explained that the exercise is a continuation of the OPE, which was carried out in the Benin metropolis’ Ugbor, Amagba, and Ekai areas.

“We are extending the OPE project to the Oghogobi community following an amazing exercise in the Amagba, Ugbor, and Ekai areas,” she says.

“For the exercise, we need landlords in Oghogobi Community to present themselves for recertification and confirmation of their building plans and other approvals in line with extant laws in the state.

“We plead for the cooperation of the residents as our officials visit their premises to check for their documents and serve notices. Their support is necessary for a seamless exercise.”

“The OPE is intended to ensure that buildings and developments across the state adhere to government regulations in line with the Edo Regional Development Plan and Benin Urban Master Plan,” the commissioner added.
