One dead, another injured in Vehicle rollover at Ermelo

A man was killed and a woman was critically injured this morning after their car slid off the N17 about 5 kilometres outside of Ermelo.

When ER24 and the Provincial Fire Services got there at 7 a.m., they discovered a little car on its side on the side of the road. A man and woman thought to be in their 20s were discovered laying around 10 metres from the vehicle.

Medical professionals examined the patient and discovered that the man had already passed away from his multiple injuries. He was pronounced dead since nothing could be done to save him. The woman was discovered seriously injured, having suffered several injuries.

After receiving treatment and advanced life support, the woman was taken to a local hospital for emergency treatment.

Authorities from the area were on the scene to conduct more investigations.
