Olyvia Cowley went to Bali without business insurance

The family of a young lady who passed away unexpectedly in Bali is in shock at the enormous expense of returning her home after learning that she didn’t have travel insurance since she intended to start a new life on the tropical island.

The 24-year-old Olyvia Cowley was discovered dead last Friday at her villa on the idyllic island of Indonesia, where she had been hoping to realise her goal of starting a boutique clothes shop.

Authorities reportedly do not think Ms. Cowley’s death was suspicious, although investigations into her death are still underway.

According to a source close to the family, Ms. Cowley visited Bali in April and has spent the last four months setting up her new business enterprise.

She was “living the life [she] always hoped for” at the moment.

According to Daily Mail Australia, her lover paid her a brief visit the week before she passed away.

Currently, Ms. Cowley’s bereaved family is attempting to piece together how she spent her last moments and what ultimately contributed to her death.

The closest friend of Ms. Cowley’s mother, Tanya Pohio, said, “The expenses of this shouldn’t have to be a burden on top of their mourning and devastation.”

Since then, tributes have poured in for the graduate of Palm Beach Currumbin High School. Her distraught mother, Christina Blakelock, has called her daughter “my universe.”

To transport her corpse back to Australia, she and Olyvia’s stepfather Tony had flown from Japan to Bali.

On Friday, they will pray and perform Christian and Catholic masses at Olyvia’s “final known abode.”

“My twinkling.” My child. my guardian. I’ll always miss you. You have a grin that brightens the whole universe.

Jesus picked me to be your mother, which is often difficult for me to understand, Ms. Blakelock stated in an online remembrance of her daughter.

“You’ll never feel more cherished.” My devotion to you, my dove, beyond all comprehension. I must review your calls and texts one more. Life without you is unimaginable.

“I’m wrecked.” I now understand the suffering I never thought I would ever feel. My love for my daughter will last a lifetime.

My dear heart is at a loss on what to do. I ache! I’ll miss you forever. Oh darling sweet child, all I want to do is hold You in my arms once again.

Nothing else was more important to Ms. Blakelock than becoming a mother.

The expenses of repatriation have been split between two different fundraising campaigns.

In only three days, a GoFundMe campaign garnered more than $10,000.

On the website, it said, “I am asking for any contributions if you are in a position to offer in order to lessen the financial load on the family going ahead.”

We all understand the power of a united community, and the Cowley family is very appreciative of the outpouring of love and support thus far. Let’s support this wonderful family as they go forward.

Heartfelt condolences have also been expressed by other friends.

“In honour of one of the sweetest, gentlest, funniest, and most loved friends. Every individual you encountered had only delight thanks to you. Liv, may you rest in peace, one lady wrote.
