Nigerian Chef, Hilda Baci’s Denial of Event and Lawsuit Threat
Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has responded to a lawsuit threat from an Abuja-based organization after publicly denying any knowledge of their scheduled event.
A few days ago, Hilda dismissed reports claiming that she was charging twenty-five thousand Naira for a meet and greet session in Abuja, where people could observe her culinary skills.
Taking to her social media page, she canceled the event and clarified that she had never asked anyone to pay such an amount of money.
Organizers’ Claims and Evidence of Payment
Despite Hilda’s denial, the event organizers have called her out, providing claims and evidence of payment made for the event.
They allege that both parties had agreed to promote the event, and an advance payment had been made to the celebrity chef.
The organizers argue that Hilda’s actions have negatively affected their brand, and they are determined to seek justice in this matter.
Hilda’s Response and Refund of Payment
In response to the allegations, Hilda, through her verified social media handle, clarified to her fans that she had refunded the money paid by the event organizers.
She explained that she felt uncomfortable with the charging arrangements and had informed the organizers of her decision to withdraw from the event.
She had hoped that they would not advertise the event, but unfortunately, they went ahead despite her refusal to participate.
