A Murdered Man Was Stabbed 40 Times

This morning (Tuesday 28/06/2022), the body of an unidentified man who had been bludgeoned and stabbed at least forty (40) times was discovered in overgrown vegetation on an unpaved road next to a river in Oakford – KZN.
After making the discovery, a bystander contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at 08:21. When Reaction Officers arrived, they discovered a blood trail leading from the unpaved road to the body.
During the autopsy, medics discovered multiple stab wounds to the deceased’s neck, chest, and back, as well as blunt force trauma to his face. A pair of sandals was discovered on the road where the murder is suspected to have taken place.
Then he was dragged into the bush. Along the blood trail, a broken beer bottle (picture 6) was also discovered. It was not immediately clear whether it was used in the killing.
The motive for the murder has yet to be determined.
