The Irish team Munster has shot down the possibility of signing Springbok hooker Malcolm Marx.

The World Cup champion is currently employed by the Kubota Spears in Japan, where he has been since he left the Lions in 2020.

World Cup years frequently cause a rearrangement among rugby’s most sought-after players, a list on which Marx undoubtedly appears.

The transfer market has been rife with rumors, with Marx initially being linked to French heavyweights Clermont, who have subsequently recruited Australian hooker Folau Fainga’a, ostensibly filling the vacancy.

Then, according to multiple reports, Munster made a significant financial offer to Marx in an effort to woo him away from the land of the rising sun.

Nonetheless, assistant coach Denis Leamy has put an end to the rumors.

Leamy stated, “I’d like to collaborate with Malcolm Marx, but there’s nothing in it.”

There is nothing for us there. To be as precise as possible, that is not something that is occurring.

Obviously, we’re interested in other parts of the market, but this is not a continuous discussion.
