Multiverse, EdTech Unicorn, Finds New London Headquarters for Hybrid Working

Multiverse, the renowned EdTech unicorn founded by Euan Blair, son of former prime minister Tony Blair, has taken a significant step towards accommodating its growth and embracing hybrid working by securing a new, larger London headquarters in Paddington.

Since its inception in 2016, Multiverse has utilized sophisticated software to connect apprentices with various companies, offering an alternative learning pathway to traditional university education.

To keep up with its rising momentum, the company has outgrown its smaller office space in Marylebone and has now relocated to a spacious 20,000 sq ft area spanning two floors at WeWork’s 2 Eastbourne Terrace, a well-known flexible workspace giant.

Having successfully trained over 10,000 professional apprentices through partnerships with numerous employers, Multiverse achieved the prestigious “unicorn” status in the market, boasting a valuation of £1.36 billion ($1.7 billion) after a successful funding round last year.

The new headquarters will not only provide Multiverse with its own private office floors but also grant access to various amenities within the WeWork building, including a coffee bar and bike storage facilities.

Hybrid Work Approach and Flexibility

Libby Dangoor, the chief of staff at Multiverse, emphasized the company’s commitment to a hybrid work approach, enabling employees to work on their own terms.

This approach harnesses the benefits of remote work while still recognizing the value of in-person collaboration and maintaining a conducive office environment.

Embracing Sustainable and Exceptional Workspaces

Toni Crosbie, who leads property adviser Making Moves London, played a vital role in assisting Multiverse in finding its new headquarters.

She noted that a growing trend among large companies involves seeking workspaces that prioritize sustainability and offer outstanding workplace environments, catering to the changing demands of the modern workforce.

The Value of Flexible and Scalable Space

Mathieu Proust, the Chief Operating Officer International of New York-listed WeWork, remarked on the consistent demand from businesses for flexible and scalable office spaces.
