Moscow’s state television hosts asserted that Britain is at war with Russia

In a new propaganda eruption, Moscow’s state television hosts asserted that Britain is at war with Russia.

In a conversation about a British volunteer who died in Ukraine, Vladimir Solovyov, called ‘Putin’s Voice,’ concluded that ‘Britain is at war with us.’

On a popular Russian talk program, he was discussing Jordan Gatley’s death with political scientist Vladimir Kornilov.

Mr Gatley, who left the British Army in March, was apparently slain earlier this month in the eastern city of Severodonetsk.

According to Kornilov, the volunteer fighter’s father claimed that he left the British Army to’serve elsewhere,’ and that Britain is now ‘heroicizing these mercenaries.’

He then stated that the United Kingdom is “admitting the actuality of war,” to which Solovyov responded on Russia-1: ‘As a result, Britain is de facto at war with us.’

It comes after former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, a close Putin friend, predicted that Ukraine will vanish off the international map in two years.

‘I read his father’s Facebook post, his father’s grief, understandably. He lost his son,’ said Kornilov.

‘But he writes there that he served in the British Army until March this year, and then he decided – this is very important – to continue serving in other regions.

‘So he didn’t even consider it as leaving. As I understand it, he didn’t leave. So he must have been reassigned to some service.’

In fact, British reports have made clear he did leave the army before going to fight as a volunteer in Ukraine.

And Dean Gatley, father of John, did not mention him ‘serving’ on social media.

Instead Mr Gatley wrote: ‘Jordan left the British Army in March this year to continue his career as a soldier in other areas [.. and] went to the Ukraine to help.’

But propagandist Vladimir Solovyov – aka ‘Putin’s Voice’ – waded in and claimed: ‘The father de facto admits the involvement of British forces in the conflict.’

Kornilov responded: ‘Quite right [….] under British law, if he really joined some other foreign army and is fighting against a country that is not officially at war with Britain, he is a mercenary.

‘So it turns out that Britain is now glorifying these mercenaries as heroes and admitting the fact of war with the Russian Federation. There is no other explanation.’

Solovyov declared: ‘So – de facto – Britain is at war with us.’

He threatened: ‘So it is up to comrade [Dmitry] Rogozin [Putin’s space chief] – suggesting he should aim hypersonic Sarmat [Satan-2] missiles at Britain.’

Medvedev, who is known for his outspokenness, recently insulted the West by claiming that Ukraine would cease to exist by 2024.

‘I saw a story that Ukraine wants to receive LNG [Liquified Natural Gas] from its outside masters under a Lend-Lease Treaty, with payment for delivery in two years,’ claimed the former Kremlin president, who had his finger on the Russian nuclear trigger between 2008 and 2012.

‘If it doesn’t, it will simply freeze to death this winter.’ Just a thought. Who says Ukraine won’t exist on the global map in two years?

‘However, the Americans don’t seem to mind since they are so committed in the anti-Russia project that everything else is irrelevant to them.’

Medvedev also argued that the sanctions against Russia will benefit the West the most, as the country’s economies plummet.

‘We are excitedly awaiting yet another package of European sanctions and excellent sanctions solutions from Grandfather Joe [US President Joe Biden],’ he stated, adding that the writers of the penalties will quickly devise strategies to avoid them.

However, some Western politicians have realized that “they cannot survive without our country,” he continued.

‘Otherwise, they won’t get: food for their citizens, fertilisers to produce food for their citizens, energy sources for food production and heat for their citizens, metals and other products to produce machines and mechanisms for their citizens, fuel for European and American nuclear power plants that produce 20-40 percent of electric power for their citizens,’ he continued.

‘I won’t repeat about inflation, costs for all sorts of fuel, and forecasts on a failing economy,’ Medvedev, who is now deputy chairman of Putin’s security council, added.

‘Any information can be accessed freely. And it’s only the first month of summer. We’re counting down the days until autumn, when they’ll have to reap the primary sanctions harvest.

‘In the meantime, the steam engine of their [economies] of services and digital currencies is barreling headlong into a brick wall.’

Solovyov also requested that ‘no truces’ with Ukraine be made. ‘Hands in the air, surrender, that’s it,’ he shouted on state television.

‘There should not be a single truce….They are afraid of losing all of the Black Sea region. They understand that we will not stop.

‘They understand that it is crucial for us to reach Transnistria, that’s it, full stop.’

Transnistria is a strip of land – controlled by the Russian army – in Moldova, with a border with western Ukraine.

‘The way the Nazi regime behaves, it’s clear why they need a ceasefire – to get more weapons, to train, to bring in Western armaments,’ he said.

‘Total unconditional surrender. And then a tribunal in Lviv for the whole bunch of Ukro-Nazi criminals.

‘All to sit in the dock [starting with Volodymyr Zelensky]. They will be judged by the Ukrainian people for the crimes committed by these Ukro-Nazis.’

Solovyov also interviewed a studio visitor, Moscow-born political analyst Yakov Kedmi, about his desire that the two British fighters sentenced to death in the Donetsk People’s Republic be exchanged for high-profile Western inmates.

‘One Englishman will be exchanged for [Julian] Assange [the incarcerated WikiLeaks founder who is being held in the UK pending extradition to the United States], who will be granted the opportunity to travel to any country in the globe,’ he claimed.

The second should be replaced with Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, who is currently incarcerated in the United States.

‘A good concept, I like it,’ Solovyov, who frequently voices Kremlin views, added.
