Variety claims that US rapper Kanye West has replied to being dismissed from a number of high-profile partnerships, including Adidas, talent agency CAA, film and television programming business MRC, and luxury fashion house Balenciaga, due to his anti-Semitic social media posts.
“Ari Emanuel. I lost 2 billion bucks in one day. And I’m still alive. This is a speech of love. I still love you. God still loves you. Money does not define who I am. I am the people,” West declared on Instagram.
This post comes days after the CEO of the entertainment and media agency Endeavor, Ariel Zev (Ari) Emanuel, asked corporations to cease doing business with Kanye West.
According to “Variety,” entertainment industry executives including Emanuel and the Gersh Agency’s Bob Gersh pushed companies that work with Kanye West to cut connections with the musician.
Kim Kardashian, West’s ex-wife, also sent a brief comment through Twitter, stating, “Hate speech is never acceptable or excusable. I stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and demand an immediate end to the horrific violence and vile words directed at them.
