A pet store owner in Los Angeles was viciously assaulted by a dog thief in broad daylight as she attempted to prevent the lady from fleeing with her daughter’s Maltipoo puppy.
Rosa Muoz stated that she was working at her pet store, Planet Pet in Bell Gardens, when a woman she had seen previously entered and approached a cage containing her daughter’s Maltipoo puppy.
“She opened the cage without my knowledge. She was attached to the cage, Muoz explained to Fox 11 Los Angeles.
Muoz then observed that the guy was holding the puppy. She informed the woman that she was not permitted to remove animals from cages and requested that the dog be returned to its enclosure.
Instead, Muoz reported that the woman gazed at her before beginning to run with the Maltipoo in her arms.
The store owner attempted to pursue, but she falls and breaks her hand. When she arose and went outside, she observed the dog thief standing and staring at her.
“I said, ‘Give the puppy to me,’” “She sprayed me with pepper spray and hit me, despite the fact that the puppy is on medication and is only six weeks old with diarrhea,” Muoz stated.
Authorities have published surveillance footage depicting an unidentified female attacker swinging at Muoz on the sidewalk.

The owner of the pet store fights back and pulls the dog thief’s hair, but the dog thief pushes Muoz to the ground and overpowers her before fleeing with her puppy.
On footage, she is seen traveling northbound on Eastern Avenue towards Loevland Street.
Two males, according to Muoz, came to her help and phoned the police.
The victim required medical attention for “significant injuries” sustained during the assault, according to the police. She had treatment for eye injuries and will have a plaster on her fractured wrist for the next month.
Muoz stated that she had operated her store for 22 years without encountering any difficulties. She has grown weary of strangers entering her business.
Investigators characterized the Maltipoo thief as a woman between the ages of 18 and 25 with fair skin, a medium frame, and auburn hair. She was last seen wearing a black blouse and pajama bottoms with red and black patterns.
