When she first began filming for “House of the Dragon,” “House of the Dragon” actor Milly Alcock believed she would be “fired.”
Alcock is one of the breakout performers in the new “Game of Thrones” prequel, in which she portrays a young Rhaenyra Targaryen, the successor to the kingdom. Numerous fans have praised her performance thus far in the series.
In contrast, Alcock stated in an interview with Nylon magazine that the filming procedure was “very scary.”
“You adapt quickly, and everything becomes fairly normal,” she remarked. “But for the first two or three months, I continually believed I would be dismissed. It was quite frightening.”
Alcock added: “Because I’ve only ever worked on Australian television, the budgets were vastly different; they weren’t even in the same category. It was quite a shock to discover that this was a method for producing movies and television. I was mortified because I didn’t realize until I came onto the set how large a scale something like that might have.”
Alcock’s co-star, Matt Smith, commended the young actor and Emily Carey, who portrays the younger version of Rhaenyra’s best friend, Alicent Hightower, during a roundtable chat that Insider attended.
I believe that many of the young actors in ‘House of the Dragon’ will become stars,’ Smith said before to the series premiere.

Smith portrays Daemon Targaryen, the uncle of Rhaenyra, who has a sexually heated relationship with his niece.
In the previous episode, the couple made out and nearly had sexual relations when Daemon pulled away.
Alcock told the New York Post that filming the sequence with her older co-star was not unpleasant.
“Strangely enough, no. Matt Smith and I were merely acquaintances. Therefore, it was really comfortable “Alcock said. We had an intimacy coordinator, with whom we collaborated throughout the rehearsal process and months in advance.
She remarked of the brothel-filmed scene: “You think, “This is odd and ridiculous.” There were extras whom we had just met who were 69-ing for around 12 hours. It’s quite unpleasant. We felt somewhat overdressed, as everyone else was naked.”
Before Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke take over as Rhaenyra and Alicent on Sunday’s episode five, Alcock and Carey will continue to portray Rhaenyra and Alicent.
Due to a 10-year time leap, only these characters and the twins Laena and Laenor Velaryon will have new actors, according to showrunner Ryan Condal.
