Alison Cockbill, a long-time resident of the property, has reported that she contacted the council daily since the wall’s collapse but received no response for nearly two weeks. A council worker inspected the wall the day after the collapse, but since then, Ms. Cockbill claims to have heard very little regarding repairs or resolution. The wall collapse caused damage to her garden decorations and plants, prompting her to take immediate action to secure the area with temporary fencing.

Despite the wall being labeled as ‘unsafe,’ the council has informed Ms. Cockbill that repairs cannot be scheduled until December, leaving her vulnerable to unauthorized access and theft in the meantime. The delay in addressing the issue has also resulted in a pile of bricks remaining in her garden since August 31, when they were supposed to be removed by council workers. Ms. Cockbill expresses frustration and disappointment with the council’s handling of the situation, feeling let down by the lack of response and action.
