Man Utd fans blame the Glazers for season ticket price increment

Manchester United supporters were outraged on social media after their ticket prices increased for the first time in 11 years.

The Red Devils cited the “escalating cost of matchday delivery,” claiming it is “necessary to allow the club to operate on a sustainable basis” for the increase in season ticket prices. “We understand that our fans are also under pressure from rising living costs,” they added.

“As a result, we’ve kept price increases well below the current rate of inflation.” However, it hasn’t stopped angry United fans from taking to social media to fume at the club – with one even labelling them “parasites”.

“I’m shocked that the Glazers haven’t taken a dividend for the first time in a long time, and all of a sudden “costs” have increased,” one fan complained.

“It appears that these d***heads have no intention of selling,” a second said of the Glazers. “Understand an increase after 11 years,” a third tweeted. But the timing is odd because it could very well be a new owner when it takes effect!”

“This is appalling from a club whose players earn millions and have a full ground every week when there’s a cost of living crisis on, club could reduce ticket prices and still bring in good money!” a fourth said.

The Glazer family had considered selling the Red Devils, with bids from Qatar and Britain’s richest man, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, confirmed.

According to ESPN, American hedge fund Elliott Management has expressed interest in investing in United, which could mean the Glazers stay in charge.
