Makhadzi’s new song “Ndi Linde” sets the summer mood

Makhadzi, a multi-award-winning artist, has risen to prominence not just in South Africa but also abroad.

The diva has captivated her audience by releasing hit after hit, and her latest track, “Ndi Linde,” is no exception.

The three-and-a-half-minute song, which was released on numerous streaming platforms on Friday, sets the tone for a scorching South African summer.

As with all of her songs, the artist stated that the song is a reflection on life.

“I create music that should resonate with people, even if they don’t understand it,” she said. “I speak through the global language of music.”

Sung in Venda, Makhadzi collaborated with Mr. Brown for this exquisite offering of energizing drumming, relaxing synths, and folk-like narrative, making it a welcome addition to the multi-platinum artist’s acclaimed discography.

“I am honored to share my heritage with the world. I wish to introduce Venda to the globe… Most people ask me what type my music is, and I believe it’s heart-warming, soothing music. I wish for this song to be received with the same spirit,” she stated.

It’s not the first time Makhadzi and Mr. Brown have performed studio magic. In June of this year, the duo released the successful singles “MaGear” and “Murahu” off her album “African Queen.”

Makhadzi is widely regarded as the queen of Bolobedu dance music, and her acclaim knows no bounds, as she has become South Africa’s most streamed female artist and one of the region’s most adored celebrities since hitting it big.

Makhadzi’s year has also been fruitful, with sold-out South African one-woman shows and worldwide tours.

“I’ve been nominated for an AFFRIMA, and I’ve performed a sold-out one-woman show for 20,000 people. “This year has been packed with many blessings for me,” she remarked.

“Ndi Linde” is the second track on the forthcoming “OOO: Afro” compilation, after the amapiano gem “Inkululeko,” which was produced by the South African deep house duo Artwork Sounds.

The duo joins forces easily with famous performers Russell Zuma and CocoSA.

“OOO: Afro” is a unique new compilation album compiled by the Out Of Order label in collaboration with Warner Africa. It will be released on November 11.

It is the first in a series of albums that will be curated and released by the label, with the “OOO: Afro” record intending to showcase a variety of talent ranging from household names to emerging artists from the African region.

Recently, the celebrity also collaborated with singer and reality TV personality Papa Penny, and she posted a video of them dancing together on Instagram.

She added in the caption, “I called Papa Penny back into the studio to rework his Milandu Bhe song, which dominated one of the holidays in the 1990s… it’s going down #AfricanQueen2.0.”

When asked about next projects, the celebrity responded, “I am releasing more music this year.” The release of my CD, which features some of the country’s greatest luminaries, is imminent.
