Saturday morning, a cruise ship carrying as many as 800 Covid-infected passengers is scheduled to arrive in Sydney.

The Majestic Princess will arrive in Sydney Harbour about 6 a.m., carrying around 4,600 crew and passengers.

Those infected with the virus are quarantined in their rooms, while crew members have been instructed to wear PPE gear.

Princess Cruises stated that passengers had tested positive, and special transportation was organized to send them to isolation upon disembarkation.

The firm claimed in a statement that these guests are moderately sick or asymptomatic and are isolating themselves in their staterooms.

All non-affected passengers are wearing masks and will continue to do so when they disembark in Sydney on November 12.
