Athens, 14th August, 2022 (WAM) — An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck Sunday the island of Samos, eastern Greece, with no reported casualties or material damage.

The Geodynamic Institute in Athens said the quake occurred at a depth of 12 kilometres in the strait between Samos and the Turkish Aegean coast near Kusadasi.
