Lucy Letby, 32, is accused of murdering five boys and two girls and attempting to murder five boys and five girls at the Countess of Chester Hospital in Cheshire between June 2015 and June 2016.

Letby, of Hereford, is claimed to have gone on a one-year murdering spree while employed at the neonatal intensive care unit. She faces 22 accusations involving 17 infants.

This morning, she was led into the Manchester Crown Court dock wearing a navy suit and a black shirt.

Letby denies every accusation. The duration of her experiment is up to six months.

A court order forbids disclosing the identity of surviving and deceased children allegedly attacked by Letby, as well as the identities of their parents and witnesses.
