Love Island Winter Edition: Another Couple Dumped Ahead of the Final

Love Island’s winter edition has come to an end with the final set to take place on Monday, March 13th. Presenter Maya Jama is set to return to the South African villa to crown this year’s winning couple.

The latest episode followed the annual “meet the parents” tradition where the Islanders were reunited with their families, but the day ended on a sad note with the latest couple being dumped just one day before the finale.

After spending an emotional day catching up with their loved ones, the Islanders were asked to gather around the fire pit to receive a text informing them that the public had been secretly voting.

Jessie Wynter and Will Young, Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, and Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall were voted “least compatible” by their fellow Islanders, making them vulnerable and at risk of being dumped from the Island that night.

The message read: “Islanders, you voted Jessie and Will, Sanam and Kai, and Lana and Ron as the least compatible couples. They are all vulnerable and at risk of being dumped from the Island tonight, however, only one couple will go home and that decision is in the hands of the public.”

Jessie Wynter and Will Young were ultimately the couple to be dumped from the show after a public vote. This means they have missed out on a place in the 2023 final.

Jessie took the news gracefully, letting her fellow Islanders know that there were no hard feelings. Will also seemed to be taking it in his stride, telling the boys that while it was sad, somebody had to go, and he was happy with the experience.

The four remaining couples have now been announced as the finalists of Love Island 2023. They are Samie Elishi and Tom Clare, Tanya Mahenga and Shaq Muhammad, Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagain, and Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall. Voting for the live final has opened and viewers can cast their vote to help crown the winning couple.

The Love Island 2023 final will be aired on ITV2 and ITVX on Monday, March 13th, starting at 9 pm and ending at 10:35 pm. This year’s final will last for an hour and 35 minutes, and viewers can expect Maya Jama to announce the winners of the winter edition.
