Ekim-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti, the winners of Love Island, have decided to end their relationship less than a year after their victory on the popular ITV reality show.
The couple secured the majority of the public vote and were announced as the winners in August of the previous year.
Davide Sanclimenti’s Announcement on Instagram
Davide Sanclimenti took to his Instagram story on Thursday to announce the split, stating that he and Ekim-Su Culculoglu were “no longer together.”
Despite the breakup, he expressed gratitude for the memories and opportunities they shared and wished his former partner nothing but the best.
Sanclimenti also requested respect for their decision during this challenging time and assured that he would continue to support Ekim in any way possible.
Ekim-Su Culculoglu’s Silence on the Breakup
As of now, Ekim-Su Culculoglu has not publicly addressed the breakup.
Recent Appearance Together and Past Achievements
Interestingly, just three days prior to the announcement, the couple was seen together at the London premiere of “Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny.”
Over the past 10 months, Ekim and Davide had made significant strides in their relationship, including moving in together and appearing in an ITV spin-off show where they explored their respective home countries of Italy and Turkey.
Davide Sanclimenti’s Advice to Future Love Island Contestants
In a previous interview on ITV’s Good Morning Britain (GMB) in January, Davide Sanclimenti shared advice for future Love Island contestants, encouraging them to be genuine and prioritize finding a genuine connection rather than seeking fame.
He emphasized the importance of being oneself and approaching the experience with the intention of finding love.
Another Love Island Couple Separates
The split between Ekim-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti follows the separation of another Love Island couple, Luca Bish and Gemma Owen, who were the runners-up of Love Island 2022.
Luca and Gemma announced their separation in November, less than four months after leaving the villa, adding to the series of relationship endings within the Love Island franchise.
