Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is alarmed at stabbing spree

Thursday morning’s stabbing incident on the Las Vegas Strip left one person dead and at least five others wounded. According to police, a suspect has been apprehended.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department tweeted that it had received a report of a stabbing with many injuries in front of a casino in the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard at about 11:42 a.m. “At least six victims have been found as of right now. One victim has already been pronounced dead.”

“Other victims are being taken to surrounding hospitals with unknown amount of injuries,” the LVMPD tweeted in response.

A motivation and the identity of the suspect were not immediately disclosed.
