Duduzile Ngwenya, widely known by her stage name Lady Du, is the most recent victim of an ATM heist.
Tuesday morning, she shared her negative experience on social media and cautioned others to be wary when using ATMs.
“Be careful at ATMs; I was assisting a woman who was sobbing uncontrollably. “She stated that her spouse assaulted her and that she needs the school funds for her children,” the author wrote.
“Because I don’t carry cash, I withdrew money from an ATM; subsequently, a group of men stole my wallet and things. When I turned to speak with the woman, she was nowhere to be found.”
She stated that the loss of her driver’s license and identification was the result of her being a Good Samaritan.
“They were working together since CCTV evidence reveals them conversing before to the robbery. However, I have learned my lesson.
“I’m a God-fearing woman, and while this is the first time I’ve encountered such a thing, it has no effect on my heart. Helping others is in my DNA, but I must exercise caution.”
