Khayelihle Shozi’s brother speaks on the players condition and ambitions

Speaking to Kick Off Magazine, brother of former Mamelodi Sundowns youth player Kayelihle Shozi has given an update on the players condition and ambitions.
Shozi shook the local football fraternity when he was reported to have gone missing, for a period of four months.
After an intense search, following the news going public, Shozi was spotted in a rather terrible state. The midfielder was found in Johannesburg, before he was eventually reunited with his family KwaNdengezi, just this Tuesday.
“He is back home, He is still facing the same challenges even though his mind is showing signs of recovery, as he is starting to remember and ask certain things. I went to train with him yesterday. He wants to play football. We are trying to give him support even though it’s very difficult. He is supposed to go back to a psychiatric hospital but there are financial challenges facing our family.” Said Simphiwe.
“My mom is also sick and is not currently working. I am also not working. He was the family breadwinner. There is a lot that needs to be done including some traditional stuff but the big problem is we don’t have money to help him” Confirmed Shozi.
“We keep on praying and we have a strong belief that he will get help and return to the field and play. Playing football is what he is longing for.” Shozi concluded.
