The fear of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams played a significant role in this decision. Instead, post-high school, he embarked on a journey of diverse street hustles, trying his hand at being a mechanic, painter, and barber.

Khaid’s parents, a tailor and a hairstylist, were avid music lovers, exposing him to various genres from a young age. His father’s love for fuji music and his mother’s affinity for Michael Jackson created a diverse musical environment at home.
This exposure fueled Khaid’s passion for trap music, leading him to experiment with the genre and eventually create his own trap songs.
The Turning Point: From Mechanic to Music Stardom
Khaid’s musical journey took an unexpected turn when social media influencer Sydney Talker reached out to him on Instagram.
Initially skeptical, Khaid eventually met Sydney Talker, showcasing six original songs during their collaboration. This meeting marked the beginning of Khaid’s professional music career, culminating in a record label signing.
