During a candlelight memorial on Wednesday night, the father of deceased University of Idaho student Kaylee Goncalves disclosed that she died in the same bed as her lifelong closest friend Madison Mogen.

“These females were breathtakingly gorgeous. They’ve known each other since sixth grade… Every day they did homework together, they came to our house together, and they shared everything,” Steve Goncalves told a college audience of over 1,000 people.

According to the Idaho Statesman, he remarked inside the school’s Kibbie Dome, “They went to high school together, then started looking at universities and came here together, and they finally moved into the same apartment together.”

“And in the end, they both passed away in the same room and bed. And that’s unfortunate and it hurts,” the distraught father concluded.

He expressed comfort in the knowledge that they were united in their final moments on November 13 at their off-campus Moscow residence.

Grieving dad Steve Goncalves stated that he found comfort in the fact that his murdered daughter Kaylee was alongside her best friend Maddie Mogen during their final moments.
AP students from the University of Idaho came for a memorial for the four deceased students James Keivom.

It soothes us to know that they were always with their best pals in the world.

In addition, he swore to seek justice for his 21-year-old daughter, Mogen, his 20-year-old daughter, Xana Kernodle, and her boyfriend, Ethan Chapin.

“We’re going to obtain justice, and we’re going to work this out. This neighborhood deserves it, Goncalves stated, as published by the Independent.

University of Idaho students Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves were murdered.

Ben, Maddie’s father, attended the vigil and recalled how he had boasted about her making the dean’s list and falling in love with her lover.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Mogen stated, “I’m so happy that she at least had a small taste of what it’s like to fall in love with someone.”

“I was quite happy to call (Jake) my daughter’s lover, and perhaps they would have gotten married in the future. It seems to be the case,” he added.

On Wednesday evening, almost one thousand people attended a vigil for the four pupils.

The four students were allegedly stabbed to death as their housemates Bethany Funke and Dylan Mortensen slept on the first floor, according to the police.

On Wednesday, police shockingly announced that detectives remain unsure if the quadruple homicide was a targeted assault, despite having previously informed the public that they suspected the victims were the target of a planned attack.

In the previous twenty-four hours, contradictory information has become available. “According to the Latah County Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect(s) specifically viewed this property, and one or more of the residents were unquestionably the intended target,” Moscow police said in a statement.

“We have communicated with the Latah County Prosecutor’s Office and determined there was a misunderstanding,” the statement said. “Investigators are currently unable to determine if the house or any of its residents were particularly targeted, but the investigation continues.”

No suspects have been identified, nor has the murder weapon been discovered.
