Katlego Maboe hosts ‘Tropika Island of Treasure: All-Stars’

TV host Katlego Maboe has recovered from a flurry of events that saw him experience the wrath of cancel culture stronger than ever.

Before going through one of the worst periods of his life, Maboe was regarded as one of Mzansi’s favorite TV hosts, holding down a number of hosting positions.

That changed when Monique Muller, his ex-partner, accused him of infidelity and domestic abuse. Soon after, Maboe lost his presenting positions.

Soon after Maboe was fired from S3’s well-liked “Expresso Morning Show,” all of the Outsurance commercials that featured him were taken off the air.

In an unexpected turn of events, Maboe comes back as the host of the 10th season of “Tropika Island of Treasure: All-Stars” after making an emotional comeback as the “Expresso Morning Show” presenter after the courts’ clearance of him.

As the host of the second phase of the tournament in the Seychelles, Maboe will return for more island mania. Maboe will be hosting the program for the second time after serving as the season nine presenter of “Tropika Island of Treasure.”

Maboe’s comeback fits with the season’s theme. The tenth season of “Tropika Island of Treasure” has been nothing short of unpredictable.

Prior to competing for their part of the final prize on the gorgeous islands of the Seychelles this season, the competitor duos had to earn their flavors in St. Lucia, KZN.

Seven teams, each representing one of Tropika’s seven delectable flavors—Cool Red, Pia Colada, Peach, Mango and Peach, Pineapple, Tropical, and Orange—will advance to the Seychelles.

The stakes are greater, and anticipation is building to discover who will prevail.

On October 15, Maboe will appear once again on “Tropika Island of Treasure: All-Stars.” The program airs on S3 at 6.30 p.m.
