In Uitenhage, Kariega Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) has resumed offering its well-liked Kariega plant FactoryTours to the general public after a more than two-year suspension brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.

FactoryTours started up again in June, the first time since the Covid-19 outbreak began.

Tours provide visitors a closer look at Volkswagen’s well-known Polo and Polo Vivo vehicles’ construction.

After being suspended in 2020 at the beginning of the epidemic, The FactoryTours resumed operations on June 21 and have since hosted 921 people in total.

The team behind the FactoryTours has reimagined the experience for guests by making good use of the downtime.

The tours have been totally rewritten in their new format to highlight the most fascinating features of Volkswagen’s top-notch facility.

This includes the production procedure, which blends the proficiency of our production staff with the effectiveness of high-tech robots.
