Kanye West tweets’shalom’ following his suspension for anti-Semitic statements

A month after his Twitter account was disabled for anti-Semitic statements, Kanye West posted a Hebrew welcome on Sunday.

“Testing Testing,” tweeted the artist. Checking to see whether Twitter is unblocked.

The Grammy winner afterwards referred to his previous hate remark by adding “Shalom:).”

The Hebrew word that translates to “Peace” can be used as a greeting or farewell.

Elon Musk, who purchased the social media business for $44 billion in April and gained control last month, “liked” the tweet of the 45-year-old Yeezy designer.

“Don’t kill something you dislike,” said the 51-year-old CEO of Tesla. “Save what you cherish.”

West’s Twitter account was restricted in October, when he posted about carrying out a “death con 3” on Jewish people.

Musk responded to the hate speech with his own tweet at the time.

The investor replied, “I spoke with you today and voiced my worries regarding his recent post, which I believe he took to heart.”

West continued to tweet while being suspended from the platform.

In his absence, the singer proceeded to spew anti-Semitic slurs on a since-deleted episode of “Drink Champs,” with celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and John Legend condemning his conduct.

“Your statements are hurtful and provoke violence…. Please stop,” tweeted Curtis, while Legend criticized West’s claim to be a “free, independent thinker.”

The American Music Award winner, who when given the opportunity to repent declared he was “glad” with his words, has since been dumped by Adidas, Balenciaga, and other professional ties.

Several family members of West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian have spoken out against him on Instagram, with Khloé Kardashian stating that she supports her “Jewish pals and the Jewish people.”

West made news earlier that month for wearing a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt to Paris Fashion Week.

Late in October, the fashion designer’s Twitter prohibition was relaxed.

When he resumed tweeting on November 4, he referred to himself as “mentally misdiagnosed.”

The record producer captioned an image of an alleged discussion with Harley Pasternak, in which the trainer allegedly threatened to have him “institutionalized,” “What should be evident by now is that I was trained to stand for my truth regardless of the repercussions.”

West, who has previously acknowledged a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, claimed to have been “almost drugged out of [his] mind” to be “a controllable, well-behaved superstar” in the past.
