In an Instagram post they jointly shared, the couple disclosed that their baby girl, named Lyra Rose Skorjanec, was born on Friday, spreading joy among their friends and fans.

A Journey of Hope: From Trying to Conceiving

Back in February, Manrara and Škorjanec disclosed their joyous expectation after discovering Manrara’s pregnancy in early December.

The couple had been attempting to conceive for several years, and just as they were about to commence IVF treatment, they received the delightful news.

Manrara, who had retired from her role as a professional dancer two years prior to focus on starting a family, revealed to Hello! magazine that they turned to IVF after facing challenges with conception.

An Enduring Love Story

The couple’s love story began in 2010 when they met during their performances in the live dance show, Burn The Floor.

Their bond deepened, leading them to tie the knot in 2017.

As professional dancers, they shared the stage on Strictly Come Dancing for many years, delighting audiences with their talent and chemistry.

In 2021, Manrara decided to step down from the competition to become a co-host of the spin-off show, It Takes Two.

Following suit, Škorjanec announced his departure from the BBC dance competition after a fulfilling nine-year journey.

The arrival of their daughter, Lyra Rose, marks a new chapter in Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec’s life, as they continue to celebrate their love and cherish the precious moments with their growing family.
