Megyn Kelly received an apology from John Stossel after he admitted that he had mistakenly underestimated the journalist because of the way she appeared.

In an interview posted on his YouTube channel on Tuesday, Stossel said to Kelly, “I thought you were a bubble-head blond.”

Stossel acknowledged, “I apologized to you in the Bill O’Reilly green room,” recalling the time both seasoned journalists were employed by the Fox News Channel.

I recall that,” Kelly said. It was typical Stossel.

Kelly added, “You came over into this enormous confession of something that made you appear extremely horrible that I otherwise wouldn’t have known about.

She remarked, “That’s so you,” to Stossel.

Stossel thought back to the conversation where he had praised Kelly’s intelligence.

He said, “I believe I said you’re incredibly brilliant and quick, but I thought you were another of the Fox blonds who are pretty smart and quick.

When Kelly thought back on her background and her desire to advance in her work, the subject came up.

Kelly said that when “wonderful things came down the pike” for her, her parents were “quite astonished.”

If you want your child to be truly successful, Kelly quipped, “you need to do exactly the proper amount of damage to them.”

You must act in a way that leaves them with a chip on their shoulder but not in such a way that prevents them from recovering.

I think I did well and wanted to work so hard because I had something to prove to myself, she continued.

I didn’t want people to think less of me, that I couldn’t do something, or that I was simply a naive bleach blond.

Before joining Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network, which are both owned by Fox Corporation, a sister business of The Post’s parent company, News Corp., Stossel spent decades working as a journalist and anchor at ABC News.

He quit Fox in 2019 and started Stossel TV, an internet news program that favors libertarian perspectives.

Kelly, who is currently the host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” on SiriusXM, rose to national prominence while working as a correspondent and anchor for Fox News. Before starting her own media company, she spent less than two years with NBC News after leaving there.
