Joe Biden’s granddaughter Naomi Offers GOP Senator Ron Johnson a Call with Her Father Over Gun Reform Legislation

Naomi Biden, President Joe Biden’s granddaughter, informed Republican Senator Ron Johnson on Wednesday that if he voted for gun reform legislation, she would go to his office and call her father Hunter so that he can talk with him.

She wrote on Twitter, ‘.@RonJohnsonWI, if you vote for stricter gun control measures, I will personally come into your office and call my dad on speakerphone so that you can confess your undying love for him directly’.

Johnson has been one of Hunter Biden’s strongest critics, criticizing the president’s son on a variety of issues, including his business transactions and Secret Service detail. Hunter has been accused by him of profiting financially off Joe Biden’s time in public office.

Johnson was asked about the discussion over what limitations should be included in gun legislation on Wednesday.

Huffington Post writer Arthur Delaney tweeted that he asked Johnson about waiting periods for gun sales to anyone under the age of 21 and Johnson informed him that ‘Before we pass anything new, let’s enforce the laws we already have. Let’s start with Hunter Biden’.

Delany was retweeted by Naomi Biden, who offered to visit him in his office if he votes for stricter gun control legislation.

She is Hunter Biden’s oldest daughter with Kathleen his first wife. In April, she was proposed to by her longtime boyfriend Peter Neal, and on November 19, the president and first lady will host a wedding reception for them at the White House.

Meanwhile, a bipartisan group of senators is working on their own gun reform bill, but nothing has been finalized yet.

Senators are considering bills to modernize background checks, boost state red flag laws, improve school safety, and create additional mental health initiatives.

By the end of the week, they want to have a compromise bill ready.

To meet the 60-vote barrier, at least 10 Republican votes are needed, but given his conservative worldview, Johnson is unlikely to be one of them.

In an interview with CNN, Johnson, who is campaigning for re-election in Wisconsin, said  that his ‘main point on any kind of gun control is, let’s enforce the laws that we have. And let’s do it within a justice system that applies the laws equally. Maybe we should start with what Hunter Biden did in terms of his own background checks.’

He was most likely alluding to a Politico report from last year that said Hunter Biden may have committed a felony by lying on a background check before buying a gun.

As part of the background check, Hunter Biden answered ‘no’ to the question ‘Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?’

On October 12, 2018, he filled out a Firearms Transaction Record in order to purchase a.38 revolver.

After testing positive for cocaine, Hunter was dismissed from the Navy Reserve five years early. The details of the record were obtained by Politico and published.

Hunter Biden has struggled with drug addiction for most of his adult years, he recounts his struggles in his 2021 memoir and media interviews.
