Jeremy Lin, who mesmerized New York during his magical run with the Knicks in 2012, is leaving the Chinese Basketball Association, thereby cutting short his season with the Guangzhou Loong Lions.
Lin now intends to return to the United States, albeit his basketball future is uncertain.
Lin posted on Instagram, “After much contemplation, I’ve chosen to quit the CBA for this season.” “The decision was not an easy one. Lin was averaging seven points and two assists per game for the 8-12 Guangzhou squad. On December 20, Lin, 34, last played for the Long Lions.
Lin was fined $1,400 earlier this month for criticizing the team’s hotel weight room amid the harsh COVID measures, which have subsequently been relaxed.

From 2010 to 2019, Lin was the point guard for the Rockets, Lakers, Hornets, Nets, Hawks, Warriors, and Raptors in addition to the Knicks.
