Wednesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre argued that President Joe Biden is not avoiding the media, despite not having conducted a sit-down interview in over 80 days.
She stated with a grin during her daily press briefing, “He accepts your questions constantly.”
She then mentioned Peter Doocy, the White House correspondent for Fox News. He answered Peter’s query on Friday.
“I have more,” Doocy joked, eliciting laughter in the audience.
June 16 marked Biden’s last sit-down interview with the Associated Press.
Jean-Pierre was referring to the fact that the president frequently answers impromptu questions when reporters are brought into a room for an event or while he is leaving or departing the White House.

On Tuesday, Biden responded briefly to reporters brought into the Cabinet Room prior to his meeting with his executive staff. Biden responded that he will phone new British Prime Minister Liz Truss at 3:30 p.m. when asked when he would speak with her.
He did not respond to any of the several other queries yelled at him.
And on Friday, he responded to Doocy’s query, yelled at the conclusion of a meeting on federal awards, regarding whether he considers all Republicans to be “MAGA Republicans.”
However, these one-off inquiries rarely allow for follow-ups or afford reporters the opportunity to ask the president more in-depth questions regarding policy, politics, legislation, and campaigns.
Additionally, the president can choose not to answer any shouted questions, a decision he frequently makes.
While President Biden has taken questions at his appearances more frequently than his predecessors, he does it for shorter time. At his one-year anniversary in office, the White House Transition Project, a nonpartisan organization that documents presidential interactions, discovered that he sends brief responses with minimal follow-ups.
Biden had conducted 22 fewer media interviews than any of his six most recent White House predecessors at the same period in their respective administrations.

He answered questions for almost two hours.
