The hiker who died of a heart attack last week in Los Angeles’ Will Rogers State Historic Park has been recognized as a well-known Beverly Hills OBGYN, according to Corners.

Dr. Jay Goldberg, 53, was hiking in the Pacific Palisades mountains park on May 29 when he suffered a heart attack and was pronounced dead on the scene by attending paramedics, according to CBS.

The wife of artist John Mellencamp, Teddi Mellencamp of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and the wife of NFL great Marcellus Wiley were among Goldberg’s clientele.

Many of Goldberg’s famous patients took to social media after he was recognized as the Cedar Sinai doctor.

‘I write this with the heaviest heart as we mourn the passing of Dr. Jay Goldberg,’ Teddi Mellencamp wrote on Instagram as she shared a clip of Goldberg’s appearance on the reality TV show.

‘An incredible doctor to so many, he brought all of my babies into this world, saving Cruz’s life in the process,’ she added, referencing her seven-year-old sun who suffers a heart condition.

‘I’m sure the many families he’s helped are also forever grateful. Our prayers and condolences go out to his family and loved ones as they mourn with the hope that the reminder of all the good he’s done brings some solace during this trying time.’
