Jason Oppenheim felt ‘overwhelmed’ keeping ex Chrishell Stause a secret

It was “overwhelming” for Jason Oppenheim to conceal his relationship with ex-girlfriend Chrishell Stause.

The “Selling Sunset” star claimed that he finds it difficult to keep his private life hidden from the public eye, and the 45-year-old actor explained how he and Stause, 41, kept their relationship a secret for two months before announcing it in July 2021.

He told PEOPLE magazine, “We kept that a secret for some time, but we were extremely cautious. And that was very challenging. I did not wish to experience that again.”

He stated that it was a comfort to be more open about his current relationship with model Marie-Lou Nurk, 25 years old and located in Paris.

As soon as the two were spotted kissing in Mykonos, Greece, in early July, their relationship was exposed.

Even though Oppenheim had not anticipated that their relationship would become public so quickly, he stated that he had not been concealing it.

He continued, “I think if we had been extremely cautious, we would have never kissed in public. “However, I did not anticipate that we would be apprehended on a Greek island parking lot.”

Oppenheim stated that he is “every day happy” with Marie-Lou, stating, “I was also incredibly happy with Chrishell. I do not wish to disregard that connection. However, I’m just quite thrilled right now.”

He disclosed that his ex and Marie-Lou have been acquainted and are on nice terms, but conceded that “they probably won’t hang out.”

Referring to Stause’s relationship with the 27-year-old musician G Flip, he said, “Chrishell and I are at a great position, and she wants me to be happy. I wish her happiness. I believe we are both in love with and pleased for one another.”

Marie-Lou has already filmed a few sequences with Oppenheim for the sixth season of “Selling Sunset.”

According to him, there is no “end in sight” for the show, and his new spin-off series “Selling the OC” has only increased public interest.

When asked if he sees competition from other real estate reality television programs, Oppenheim responded, “I think it’s a compliment. Obviously, “Selling Sunset” established a genre. There are maybe fifteen comparable shows currently.”
