Jason Alexander reportedly stole his landlady’s $2,000 diamond tennis bracelet in 2015

Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Jason Alexander, Britney Spears’ ex-husband, after he skipped a court date for allegedly stealing his landlady’s $2,000 diamond tennis bracelet in 2015.

The 40-year-old was imprisoned last month for breaking into the popstar’s Thousand Oaks house on the day of her wedding to 28-year-old Sam Ashgari in June. The couple had been married for three days in 2004.

The warrant for the seven-year-old theft reappeared after he was taken into custody by Ventura County authorities.

He was sent directly from the Ventura County Jail to Napa after serving his two-month term, where he was instructed to appear in court on September 13.

He had been arrested there in August 2015 after being accused of stealing his landlady’s diamond tennis bracelet and selling it for $180 to Best Collateral in Vallejo, California.

However, a court clerk informed TMZ that since he did not show up yesterday, a fresh arrest warrant has been issued.

In June, just hours before Spears was scheduled to marry Sam Asghari, Alexander was detained at her residence.

He was accused with “grand theft and buying/selling stolen stuff” when he appeared via video connection in August before the Napa County Superior Court in California.

The 40-year-old seemed ashamed in a mugshot before an upcoming court date.

He confirmed the crime when questioned, according to an arrest document obtained by DailyMail.com, and his identity is included in the pawn shop’s records.

In February 2016, the 55-year-old victim reported him to police after he claimed he was unable to obtain the bracelet back and had offered to replace it with another one.

When police issued a warrant for Alexander’s arrest on counts of grand theft and purchasing or receiving stolen goods, they were able to restore the victim’s bracelet despite the fact that Alexander had already departed the region.

According to police records acquired by Page Six, Alexander was already doing time after being found guilty of trespassing and violence for trying to crash Britney’s wedding.

Just hours before she was scheduled to marry Sam Asghari, Alexander was detained at the residence of the Toxic hitmaker in June.

He originally faced charges of violence, vandalism, criminal stalking, and refusal to leave private property. He entered a not guilty plea to all of these charges.

He went back to court in Ventura County, California, where he entered a no contest plea to the charges of trespassing and battery (related to the allegation that he struck a security guard) and was given a criminal protective order, which prohibits him from coming within 100 yards of Britney or the security guard involved in the incident.

As a result of serving 64 days in the Ventura County Jail after his arrest, he was also given credit for time served.

Security guard Richard N. Eubeler said at an earlier hearing that Alexander, who wed Britney in a hasty Las Vegas wedding in 2004 before their marriage was dissolved 55 hours later, attempted to enter the Gimme More singer’s locked bedroom after making his way through the house’s grounds.

He said in his testimony: “He began reaching into his right pocket… I pulled out my gun and pressed it to my chest.

Eubeler said that he followed Alexander inside the building’s gaming room and closed the door behind them.

“He was basically shouting for Britney,” he said. He said, “F*** it.” I’m returning the way I came inside.

He asserted Eubeler was using his foot to keep a door closed when Alexander shattered the doorknob.

He has been shown to be a persistent danger, according to Judge Worley, considering the lengths he took to involve himself in this situation.
