According to the suspected killer’s roommate, the man accused of murdering Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan in front of his 2-year-old daughter was a regular contractor for his ex-new wife’s husband.
Henry Tenon, who is accused by police of murdering the 33-year-old father of four, often worked on Mario Fernandez’s rental homes, a former roommate told The Post.
Since 2016, Fernandez has been married to Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, with whom he was embroiled in a contentious divorce and custody struggle.
Tenon’s former roommate described the 61-year-old convicted felon as a quiet, diligent man who frequently assisted his elderly father, who resided next door until his recent death.
The roommate remarked that Henry appeared to be a peaceful man who woke up early every morning for work and simply went about his day.
I am aware that he performed small tasks for Mario at his request.
He recalled four different police visits to their Jacksonville residence following Tenon’s arrest on unrelated charges in August of last year.
Once, they kicked the door down, he added. “They redesigned the entire place. They were searching for a firearm, his truck, and stole all of his belongings.”
The roommate stated that he was questioned for four hours on any information he had on Tenon’s involvement in Bridegan’s death.
“I simply sat there and told them I had no idea,” he added. Henry would sleep on the sofa whenever he needed a place to stay. That was all I was aware of. Everything has been really insane.”
Tenon, according to his roommate, was extremely powerful for his age, and he took his local girlfriend to a methadone clinic every morning before heading to work.
Tenon has been incarcerated since August, when a shotgun was discovered in his trunk during a traffic stop.
Tenon was a previous tenant at a Jacksonville residence formerly owned by Fernandez, and authorities have emphasized that he was part of a bigger plot to murder devoted father Bridegan.
Wednesday, prosecutors accused him with Bridegan’s murder and said they are still searching for his accomplices. According to law enforcement officials, Fernandez and Gardner-Fernandez are still suspects in the case.
Bridegan, who had two young children with his new wife Kirsten Bridegan, was returning home from dropping off the children he shared with his ex when he saw a flat tire in the middle of the road.
Immediately after entering his vehicle to clear the obstruction, he was shot dead, according to authorities.
Bexley, his 2-year-old daughter, waited in a car seat for three minutes after watching the death of her father, until a bystander spotted the terrible scene and phoned the police.
Fox News reports that Gardner-Fernandez has relocated with her two children to Richland, Washington. Her husband did not accompany her cross-country move.
