Janet Jackson’s spectacular return tour

Reportedly, Janet Jackson will go on a magnificent return tour.

After canceling her “Black Diamond” events in 2020 owing to the Covid epidemic, she is rumored to be planning on organizing shows that will reportedly contain new songs.

“Janet has been planning for her musical comeback for some time and is gearing up for a powerful performance,” a music source told The Sun on Sunday.

“She is very grateful to her fans for sticking by her while she took a few years off to create a kid, and she wants to show her appreciation by putting on an incredible performance.

“It will feature a reissue of her 1997 album, ‘The Velvet Rope,’ as well as completely new songs. It is a huge deal.”

Jackson, a five-time Grammy winner who has sold 100 million records and created 11 albums during her career spanning more than three decades, reportedly hinted to the release of new music during a gala celebrating the 25th anniversary of her album “The Velvet Rope” last week.

She was reported in the publication as stating, “It’s so hilarious because I hear fans wondering, ‘When will Black Diamond be released? Would you kindly release?

“Sometimes things happen that you didn’t anticipate, and you have to work things out, or you’re in a place in your life where you need to pause for a moment.

Even while I truly adore it, it is still my work, my occupation.

There will eventually be music. When precisely? I cannot comment at this time, but there will be.

“I love it too much to refrain from doing it.”

Mum-of-one Jackson – born Janet Damita Jo Jackson – is alleged to have added that she is concentrating on raising her five-year-old son Eissa Al Mana, whom she had with her ex-husband Wissam Al Mana: “There are so many things I want to pursue, but my top priority is being a mother.”

Jackson also said at the 25th anniversary celebration in Shoreditch House, London, that the first time someone expressed love for her music was when a fan waved one of her CDs at her when she was stuck in traffic.

She remarked, “Out of all the albums I’ve created, and particularly with Jimmy (Jam) and Terry (Lewis – the record’s producers), ‘The Velvet Rope’ was the most challenging.

“I was going through so much in my life, and it was so difficult to determine who I am and where I stand.

“I wasn’t sure if my fans would appreciate it, yet one of the greatest moments of my life is tied to this record.

“On the day it was released, I was in traffic going from Malibu when someone honked their horn. I looked over and saw a female in a car holding ‘The Velvet Rope’ CD while smiling at me.

“It made me feel so good. That was the first time someone told me, “Yeah, you accomplished something that I truly like,” and 25 years later, it’s No. 1 again.

“I cannot thank you enough for this. Jimmy and Terry, thank you for always being my two fathers. Through thick and thin and the worst, you were always there for me.

Rolling Stone magazine has ranked “The Velvet Rope” as one of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time.” “The Velvet Rope” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, spawned the No. 1 songs “Together Again,” “I Get Lonely,” and “Every Time,” and has been named one of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”
