Jamie Raskin said on January 6 to expect a full report by year’s end

A panelist from January 6 expects a “complete report before the end of the year” and thinks that Ginni Thomas has “important testimony” to present.

Raskin also said that Ginni Thomas, the wife of conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, has 'relevant testimony' that should be shared with the panel

Representative Jamie Raskin stated that the select committee appointed on January 6 will publish a report “before the end of the year.”

Said the license expires in 2023 and there is a ‘duty’ to report on how to prevent coups, insurrections, political violence, and attacks on the political process.

Raskin added that Ginni Thomas, the wife of conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, has “important testimony” that should be provided with the committee.

Claimed former Vice President Mike Pence will testify voluntarily if requested.

Jamie Raskin stated on January 6 that the House select committee investigating the Capitol incident should have a complete report before the end of the year.

The panelist from January 6 stated that he anticipates former Vice President Mike Pence to testify freely if the committee requests his presence.

In addition, he argued that Ginni Thomas, the wife of the conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, has “important testimony” that she should present to the committee.

The panel intends to conclude its inquiry prior to the midterm elections in November 2022 and to publish its conclusions prior to the inauguration of the next Congress in January 2023.

After ending a series of prime-time broadcast hearings this summer, the panel previewed September sessions. There have been no announcements on upcoming hearings and whether or not they would be made public, as was the case with the last round in June and July.

The haste to conclude the investigation is prompted by expectations of a Republican slaughter in the midterm elections.

While it is no longer a foregone conclusion that the Senate would flip to the Republicans, it is still widely believed that Democrats will lose their majority in the House.

Raskin stated that a comprehensive report on the committee’s conclusions may be expected ‘definitely by the end of the year.’

“Like Cinderella, our license expires at midnight at the end of the year,” he told CBS Face the Nation on Sunday morning.

According to House Resolution 503, this is a big portion of our responsibility. To report to the American public on ways to prevent future coups, insurrections, political bloodshed, and assaults on our political process.

Raskin is one of the nine members of the panel, which also includes Representatives Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, two Republicans appointed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The two Republican members of the select committee will leave Congress in January.

Cheney was rebuked by Republicans in her own state and lost the Wyoming primary for her at-large seat in the House of Representatives. She was defeated by Trump-backed Harriet Hageman, who will almost certainly win the November general election.

Kinzinger chose not to seek re-election.

Trump has made it his mission to remove from office Republican legislators who voted for his impeachment for the January 6 Capitol violence.

Raskin added that Ginni Thomas, the wife of conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, has “important testimony” that should be presented to the panel.

The purpose of the select committee meeting on January 6 is to prove that Trump is responsible for the attack last year and to prevent him from becoming president again.

The former president has made strong signals that he may run for a second nonconsecutive term in 2024, but has not yet officially declared his intentions. According to some rumors, he could make the announcement as soon as this month.

Pence, Trump’s former No. 2, has indicated he is eager to cooperate with the January 6 committee, and former officials of his vice presidential office have already spoken with the committee.

Also of interest to the committee is Ginni Thomas’s testimony.

Raksin told CBS on Sunday, “We’re open in hearing from anyone with pertinent evidence concerning the plot to subvert the 2020 elections.”

He said, “She has pertinent testimony to provide, and she should provide it.” We’ve spoken with more than a thousand people, so I don’t want to exaggerate her role.

This week, new information emerged that further suggests Thomas was participating in the January 6 Capitol brawl, including her email discussions with Wisconsin residents about the incident.
