Derek Cobbinah, who played a pivotal role in coordinating Nigeria’s participation in the competition, disclosed that Meghan was deeply touched by the nickname and expressed her desire to organize a family trip to Nigeria, specifically mentioning her mother and children. He conveyed that she is always welcome to visit Nigeria and other African countries, underscoring the bond she has developed with the nation.

Meghan’s discovery of her Nigerian heritage unfolded during an episode of her Archetypes podcast after she underwent a genealogy test a couple of years ago. She expressed her intention to delve deeper into her ancestral roots during a discussion with comedians Issa Rae and Ziwe Fumudoh.
