Insane moment as police subdue passenger of vehicle that crashed into railway bridge

A man who was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed into a railroad bridge after the driver made a wrong turn has been surrounded by police.

Dramatic film captured on Thursday in Brisbane’s Central Business District shows multiple cops in high-visibility vests dragging the man to the ground and putting him in a headlock.

After the truck carrying automobiles hit with the concrete structure that crushed the vehicles, the 37-year-old allegedly grew irritated, disobeyed directions, and assaulted an officer.

Police have accused him with assault and obstruction.

As the conflict escalated on the road, cops could be heard pleading with him to “stop resisting.”

In a video acquired by 9News, an officer is heard saying, “You’re under arrest for obstructing police.”

The officer then instructs him to place his arms behind his back.

Another person commands the truck passenger to “do as your told” before using profanity.

Two cops are seen holding the guy to the ground as a third officer attempts to arrest him.

During the ruckus, a woman runs to the passenger’s side and implores the cops to ‘please help him!’

‘Get in the car now!’ one officer is heard saying as he points the woman in the other direction.

Another urges her to ‘step back’.

The three officers continue to hold the passenger down as he is heard whimpering.

‘Alright calm down, listen to me,’ one officer is heard saying as he sits on top of the man. ‘You’re under arrest for obstructing police.’

‘If you calm down we will sit you up. Do you understand?’

Police were able to handcuff the guy after more than two minutes of struggle.

The driver of the destroyed vehicle was somewhat more composed than the passenger, although he was still in shock over the accident.

Before crashing into the overpass, he informed officials he had made a false turn onto the highway while following his GPS.

After two hours, the vehicle was ultimately removed from the bridge.

The cars on the truck were fully smashed and removed by smaller tow trucks.
