Innovation SDG

The SDG Innovation Challenge 2022 is accepting applications from all interested Africans, including students, professionals, community activists, social entrepreneurs, and innovators. The submission deadline for applications is November 1, 2022.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Innovation Challenge was created as a pan-African virtual forum for brainstorming. It is a hub for young people from throughout the African continent to come together and co-develop real solutions to grassroots concerns, while simultaneously shifting the needle on global sustainable development.

This innovation challenge, designed in 2020, encourages participants to utilize their design and critical thinking skills to address quantitative and qualitative issues. According to the World Bank, COVID-19 has pushed nearly 40 million Africans into extreme poverty and impacted the economy and way of life in different ways.

Regarding the SDG Innovation Challenge

Applying for the SDG Innovation Challenge

The registration procedure consists of two steps:

The first step is to register your group, which can be done by any member of that group. You must have the names and email addresses of the young innovators with whom you will be collaborating on hand, as these details will be requested on the online registration form.

Note: The pre-event connector zone on Facebook is the place to be if you are looking for a group to enter the Challenge, would like greater diversity of thought and talent in your group, or simply want to meet committed individuals who care about the SDGs. It is open for business, regardless of the kind of your enterprise.

After completing the group registration, the registrant will receive an email containing instructions for the second stage, the personal registry, in which each group member must give extra personal information necessary for the event’s success. Both steps are essential, and only groups who have completed both will be considered for participation in the SDG Innovation Challenge 2022.
