Last month, a social media influencer mocked a man on a date who couldn’t buy a menu item at a Chili’s restaurant.

In the Jan. 16 TikTok, the user, identified by comments as Messie Cee, depicts a couple seated at the bar while he sits with a group of individuals.

She wrote in the post, “We at Chili’s are me, my crew, and those who support me.” “She desired to place an order. Her partner stated, “I don’t have enough money to purchase that.” The billboard stated, addressing the couple just feet away.

Cee stated, “There’s no motherf–king way my husband would take me to Chili’s if I can’t order whatever the f–k I want.”

This is not Ruth Chris (Steakhouse). At Chili’s, everything costs less than $18. Thus, I am really angry with him.”

The user, who has more than 120,000 Instagram followers, concluded the video with advice for the woman.

“She should run. “You must leave if he can’t buy you Chili’s; they’ve got 2-for-20 here,” he said.

Internet-wide indignation was aroused by the now-viral video with over one million total views.

This video is extremely terrible and disheartening to watch, said fitness influencer Joey. Valentine’s Day was the occasion when Sergo uttered the word “swoll”

“It’s hard times for a lot of folks; there are a lot of couples that can’t afford to eat out tonight. “I know how you feel, because I’ve been in your shoes,” Sergo added. “Instead of criticizing this man, why don’t you be thankful that you have enough money to order from that menu, to take care of your friends and family?

Sergo is the creator of the website GymPositivity, whose purpose is “to change toxic gym culture by spreading compassion, community, and positivity.”

“I cannot comprehend that individuals nowadays believe it is acceptable to do this to another human being. You must improve, and mind your own f—ing business,’ he continued.

Sergo was not the only individual who pursued the influencer. About 14,000 people have commented on the original video, criticizing the hubris and hypocrisy of the TikToker.

A user called Tito remarked, “Man, you’re at Chili’s acting fancy.”

“This video made me shed a tear. How can you criticize this person for being unable to buy a meal? Please God, save them!” someone else said

“Rather than shaming them, offer to buy them dinner!” suggested one reader.
