In the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Honours List, Lawrie Haynes was awarded the CBE.

Lawrie Haynes has been received the accolade of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Her Majesty the Queen in the Platinum Jubilee Honours List, and the NDA group wishes to congratulate him.
Lawrie, who is the chairman of both Magnox Ltd and Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd, was honored for his selfless devotion to serving RAF troops and veterans.
Lawrie, a former RAF Apprentice and aircraft technician, recently retired from the RAF Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) Board after 16 years on the board, the last eight as Chair.
“I am ecstatic to receive this honor and accept it on behalf of everyone who works so hard at the RAFBF to support RAF members, both past and present,” Lawrie Haynes (CBE) stated. “I am extremely delighted to have been connected with RAFBF because the work they do affects and improves the lives of so many people.”
“Everyone throughout the NDA will join me in congratulating Lawrie on this fantastic honor,” said David Peattie, Group CEO NDA. He has been a huge supporter of the RAFBF for many years, and I’m delighted he’s been recognized for it.”
Later this year, the investiture will take place either Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle.
