In Swiss police station, drunk “alcohol taskforce” cop shoots coworker in foot

Authorities said on Monday that an alcohol taskforce officer became intoxicated in a Swiss police station and shot a comrade in the foot.

A representative for the Geneva judiciary confirmed that the drunk cop fired his weapon seven times inside the task force office on Friday.

He stated that five of the man’s coworkers were present, including “one who was struck in the foot and required surgery.”

The cop was questioned by Geneva’s top prosecutor and stands accused of endangering and causing physical harm via negligence.

Additionally, he has been accused of obstructing efforts to determine his “capacity to drive.”

The officials, who did not specify the man’s blood-alcohol level at the time, stated that the inquiry was ongoing.
