The 34-year-old “Pon de Replay” singer tweeted a new teaser for the Apple Music halftime show on Friday, one month before the big event.
In the 30-second film, the “Umbrella” singer walked a runway as fans questioned when she would release new music.
As she approached the camera, she placed her finger to her lips in a “shhhh” gesture.
In the teaser, the new mother wore a lime-green fur coat, a black jumpsuit, multiple silver jewelry, and a wild braided hairstyle.
“Dude, Rihanna, we’ve been waiting for you,” a voice remarked.
One person remarked, “It has been six years since the nine-time Grammy Award winner released a new album.”
Another fan asked, “RiRi, where have you been?” in the backdrop of the trailer.
At the conclusion of the clip, the “Ocean’s 8” actor’s single “Needed Me” played.
Fans have been speculating about the cause behind Rihanna’s multi-year absence, which has prompted rumors that she may release a new album.
In October, she released the song “Lift Me Up” for the “Wakanda Forever” soundtrack, marking her first release of new music in seven years.
The native of Barbados surprised viewers with her halftime show teaser, which was posted on January 13.
The much-anticipated halftime performance by Rihanna will air on February 12 when the biggest football game of the year begins.
The NFL tweeted a video of Rihanna wearing a Fenty-branded football hoodie with the phrase “5 weeks from today” on January 8.
The hoodie, which was part of her limited-edition Savage X Fenty Game Day collection, included the family portrait she used to announce that she would be performing at halftime.
“We’ve been waiting for you, Rihanna,” someone said in the tape.
Last September, Rihanna confirmed that she will be performing at the show, which will be produced by DPS, with Roc Nation and Jesse Collins serving as executive producers and Hamish Hamilton serving as the director.
NFL Head of Music Seth Dudowsky stated at the time to the Hollywood Reporter, “We are thrilled to welcome Rihanna to the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show stage.”
