Throughout her musical career, Iggy Azalea has felt “completely robbed of a personal life.”
The 32-year-old rapper has used social media to give guidance to aspiring musicians while acknowledging that her own route to success and notoriety hasn’t been easy.
“Here’s the thing I think everyone working hard toward a dream should know,” wrote Azalea, who traveled to the US from Australia when she was a teenager to pursue her musical dreams.
There will be times while working toward your objective when you feel nuts, completely devoid of a personal life, and as though everything is imploding. Even after you accomplish your goal, those times will still exist. It’s typical. (sic)”
Azalea declared in 2021 that she was taking a “few years” apart from music to concentrate on “other creative ventures.”
The rap star later announced on Twitter that she would be making a comeback.
She stated on the internet: “A year ago, I was ready to give up music because I had become weary of the unfavorable vibes it garnered.
But I’ve discovered that even when I’m minding my own thing, y’all are going to be critical AND nosy.
In that case, you cannot have peace if I cannot. I’m returning. Weep about it. (sic)”
Earlier this year, Pitbull and Azalea resumed their joint tour.
The “Fancy” hitmaker later admitted she was enjoying the experience and praised Pitbull and his crew for being so “nice” to her son, Onyx, who she shares with ex-boyfriend Playboi Carti.
“Both our crews on tour get along so well,” she tweeted. Sincerely, everyone on both sides enjoys themselves greatly, and everyone is OUTSTANDINGLY nice to my son. I’m just glad to be there since it’s a fantastic environment! (sic)”
