IDU aims to repeat its success in other markets in Africa.

The financial planning and analysis software provider IDU Holdings (https://www.IDUsoft.com/) has set its sights on repeating its success in Southern and Eastern African nations in other African markets.

The organization is prepared for this upcoming phase of expansion thanks to its recent restructure, which included the merger with IDU KZN.

The expansion strategy will depend heavily on partnerships.

At the beginning of June 2022, Margie Whitten became CRO (Africa) for IDU Holdings.

Previously, Whitten served as the director of IDU KZN, where she was successful in expanding IDU’s clientele in Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, South Africa (KZN), Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

She will use her experience to propel progress in both established and emerging African nations.

IDU is perfectly positioned to carry out its expansion plan.

It has improved its flagship software, idu-Concept, during the past two years to fulfill customers’ needs for budgeting and forecasting across all industries.

IDU customers used idu-Concept during the epidemic to shorten forecasting cycles to a few days or even hours and to reduce budgeting cycles from months to weeks.

This gave IDU clients the knowledge they required to make wise, data-driven decisions and the flexibility to change course when the market changed.

Non-financial managers were relieved to not have to spend their time creating budgets.

Additionally, thanks to the merger, the IDU team’s depth and breadth of experience and knowledge are now available to all of its customers through a single helpdesk.

According to Whitten, “African business executives recently forecasted that sub-Saharan Africa will surpass IMF GDP growth predictions in 2022 and 2023.

The businesses driving this growth will continue to prioritize forecasting, budgeting, and planning since these activities help them manage risks and seize opportunities.

IDU allows businesses the freedom and agility to navigate a post-pandemic economy that is far from predictable, in addition to making these financial operations significantly less painful and time-consuming.

“I am pleased to have Margie Whitten leading our growth and expansion in Africa given her caliber and experience.

According to Kevin Phillips, CEO of IDU, “She has the technical and business know-how to help firms overcome their budgeting and forecasting difficulties and achieve a rapid ROI.

“We are well-positioned to understand the intricacies of the business difficulties in the various African markets as a firm founded in South Africa with locally produced software, and we are well-located to help our customers.

The headquarters of IDU, along with support services, are located in Cape Town, South Africa, which is in the same time zone as the rest of the region.

Through its partner network, which IDU is actively expanding, the company has a solid grasp of the regional business environments.

Together with our partners 4Site/AccTech Botswana, Zambia, and Uganda, Whitten will travel to Gaborone on August 2, Lusaka on August 11, and Kampala on August 16, 2022.
