ICYMI: Stuart Baxter set to coach Kaizer Chiefs’ PSL rivals!

Baxter was recently axed by Kaizer Chiefs just days after Benni McCarthy faced the axe from AmaZulu.

Now, Baxter is poised to coach Usuthu after being shortlisted by the club. President Sandile Zungu has his work cut out for him with Brandon Truter having a very strong start to his role as interim coach at AmaZulu.

Truter managed three wins and a draw in his first four matches in charge. Registering 10 points out of a possible 12 and stamping his authority with his new club. He is an experienced coach an a very good fit for the eThekwini-based side.

However, he now he has to compete with Baxter who was at one point the highest-paid coach in the PSL.

President Zungu must choose between Truter’s current run and Baxter’s name. Despite his underwhelming run at Amakhosi he is still one of their most successful coaches.

During his first run with Chiefs he secured the PSL trophy while completing the double.

Kaitano Tembo has also been linked to Usuthu as a replacement to McCarthy.

Should Baxter or Tembo be selected ahead of Truter, he could still be used in another role within management, according to iDiskiTimes.
