Let’s begin with Jace, the firstborn son of Rhaenyra and heir to the Iron Throne following his mother.
Jacaerys appears in “House of the Dragon” on HBO.
His full name is Jacaerys, although he goes by the nickname “Jace.”
Jace was born sometime during the 10-year hiatus between “House of the Dragon” episodes five and six. Although Rhaenyra and her friends insist on publicly declaring that Jace is the son of Laenor Velaryon (Rhaenyra’s first husband and future king’s consort), Jace’s true father was Harwin Strong.
Luke is the second son born to Rhaenyra and the heir to the Driftwood Throne.

Lucerys “Luke” Velaryon is another of Rhaenyra’s offspring with Harwin Strong, however the realm believes he is the second son of Laenor and Rhaenyra.
Luke was the child who cut Aemond’s eye in episode seven, “Driftmark” (Aemond and his siblings will be discussed shortly).
Joffrey is the youngest of Rhaenyra’s children from her first marriage (and affair).

HBO
Joffrey was called after the man with whom Laenor had an illicit romance while they were both youths. Despite the fact that Joffrey, along with Jace and Luke, was actually Harwin Strong’s son, his fake father picked the name shortly after his birth in episode six.
The offspring of Alicent were all fathered by King Viserys. Aegon II is their oldest child together.

HBO
Aegon II (also known as “Aegon the Elder” in George R. R. Martin’s “Fire and Blood” novel) was the first son of King Viserys to survive delivery.
Aegon the Elder is the son of Queen Alicent, and many lords in the realm of Westeros contend that he should ascend the Iron Throne after Viserys’s death, displacing Rhaenyra as the designated successor.
Helaena is the second-born child of Alicent and Viserys.

HBO
Helaena was the first daughter of Alicent and Rhaenyra. Helaena was married to her older brother Aegon the Elder between episodes. Together, they do not yet have any children.
Aegon and Helaena have twins named Jaehaerys and Jaehaera, who are their children.

HBO
Alicent caught a glimpse of the blonde twins in the ninth episode of the first season of “House of the Dragon” when she entered Helaena’s room.
The youngest child of Alicent is Aemond, also known as Aemond One-Eye.

HBO
Aemond was the last of his brothers to claim a dragon, albeit claiming Vhagar cost him an eye in episode seven, when a fight broke out between all the children.
Aemond is now a competent swordsman and appears to be more capable than his older brother Aegon the Elder in episode eight.
Now for Daemon’s offspring. His first marriage to Laena Velaryon resulted in two daughters. First, there is Rhaena.

HBO
Rhaena is the daughter of Daemon and Laena, who married and had children in the decade between episodes five and six.
Rhaena was living happily with Daemon and her new stepmother Rhaenyra by the eighth episode.
The other daughter of Daemon and Laena is named Baela.

HBO
In episode eight, we find that she has been taken to live with her grandmother at Driftmark, where she will learn the ways of the court from her (Rhaenys).
Daemon and Rhaenyra currently have children together. Their first legitimate child is likewise called Aegon.
Aegon the Younger was the offspring of Rhaenyra and Daemon.
HBO
Aegon was also named after Aegon the Conqueror, adding to the confusion between the two Aegons.
Since Aegon III is a toddler in episode eight, and Aegon II is in his twenties, he is referred to as Aegon the Younger in the novels.
Thus, Aegon the Elder is the son of Alicent, while Aegon the Younger is the son of Rhaenyra (and Aegon the Elder’s half-nephew).
Viserys was the name given to Rhaenyra and Daemon’s second son.

HBO
Viserys II was debuted in episode eight as a newborn. He was named for Rhaenyra’s father and Daemon’s brother, King Viserys.
Now that Rhaenyra is expecting her third child, she will soon have a total of six children: three with Laenor/Harwin and three with her new husband/uncle Daemon.
