Horrors: Lily Sullivan, 18, walks with killer before being strangled

Before her murderer is sentenced tomorrow, a chilling video depicts the sad adolescent Lily Sullivan’s final moments as they strolled down the street together before he strangled her and dumped her corpse.

18-year-old Lily Sullivan, who had turned down Lewis Haines’ attempts sexually, was discovered half-naked in a pond in Pembroke, Wales.

Unsettling CCTV video captured her and the 31-year-old after they met at a nightclub wandering through the peaceful neighbourhoods.

The Crown Prosecution Service made the video available in advance of tomorrow’s sentence for Haines.

Tragically, Lily is obviously unable to testify about what took on in the alley at that time. Lewis Haines has opted not to testify at the hearing, as is his prerogative.

I have no doubt that there was some intimacy in the alley. I’m equally certain that it didn’t develop into sexual activity or anything even somewhat similar. Since Lily did not want it to occur, I am certain that it did not.

According to the judge, Haines had became “frustrated” when Lily made it apparent that she did not want to “go as far as sexual intercourse.”

Lily’s phone and brown leather jacket were in the alleyway, while her cream lace top was discovered on the ground near to the river.

Lily allegedly threatened to accuse Haines of being a “rapist,” saying his daughter would be “ashamed,” and Haines responded by strangling her.

According to Judge Thomas, there is some truth to his version of her threatening to tell others what he had done to her.

“I discover that she did say she would complain,” I said. Not that he had sexually assaulted her, but rather that he had attempted to force himself onto her while she was on her way to see her mother.

Because Haines was in a relationship, had a kid, and intended to “suppress” Lily, the court heard that he had “a great lot to lose.”

Lewis Haines hit Lily multiple times, the court ruled. That was accomplished with a lot of power.

He then deposited her in the Mill Pond, where she would be hidden from view at night by the murky water, and likely strangled her to death.

“I don’t believe he dove in to rescue Lily,” the person said. If he entered, it was to place her there rather than to remove her.

His goal was to put her in her place. He always carried a phone with him. Even though it was late at night, he was near to the major street. He went by a lot of residences.

According to Wales Online, the court also said that Lily’s clothing and phone’s placement was important.

He said, “I find she did not leave them freely at that area.” I also discover that Lewis Haines forcefully took her to the Mill Pond; she did not leave the alley of her own free will.

When her corpse was found, it was completely nude up to the waist. Her scanty top was discovered on some bushes next to the Mill Pond, somewhat moist.

She must not have been wearing that shirt when she entered the water, I conclude. It would have been fully drenched if she had been. I discover that Lewis Haines took it from Lily without her consent.

Prior to being warned off by friends, the court heard that Haines had shown “sexual interest” in Lily throughout the night out.

He was repeatedly warned off and informed that he had a girlfriend, that he had a kid, and that Lily was 18 years old, according to prosecutor William Hughes QC.

Haines left the scene and was seen on surveillance footage at the neighbouring Green Garage passing Lily’s mother Anna Sullivan.

At 2.47 am, Mrs. Sullivan spoke with her daughter on the phone and then waited to pick her up.

I’ll be there right now, mam, Lily assured her mother. I have left. I will be there in a few minutes. I’m almost there,” the caller said, before it was cut off.

Before she observed Haines walking, Mrs. Sullivan tried calling her daughter 30 times, not realising that he had just killed her daughter moments before.

According to Mr. Hughes, Anna Sullivan chose to follow Lewis Haines because of his actions. He vanished into the trees, and she was no longer able to see him.

Anna Sullivan was waiting for Lily there, and Mr. Haines was aware of this.

Lewis Haines, the assassin of Anna Sullivan’s daughter, was who she saw at this time, the speaker said.

At 6.02 am, the young lady was tragically declared dead. She had injuries that Dr. Stephen Leadbeatter said were compatible with “hand strangulation” during his postmortem.

When the cops arrived at the residence, Haines admitted: “I strangled her.” Later on, he said, “What the f*** have I done?” at the station’s custody counter.

A week before his trial, Haines entered a guilty plea to murder after already admitting manslaughter.

The sentencing hearing was postponed by Judge Paul Thomas QC on Friday.
